Is there anyway for me to remote into my file server on my macbook air? I just cant move ALL of my files over to my macbook air now since I got the 2010 base model but Im hoping to upgrade soon. Anyways, can I access my file server which is windows vista using my macbook air for all of my files?

VNC, Apple Remote Desktop, Windows Remote Desktop (if the server is a PC), Back to my Mac...

There are lots of ways to do what you are trying.

Since your machine is Vista...

I suggest you check out Logmein Hamachi (at logmein.com). It's free for personal use, and is much easier to set up than most VPN networks.

Once you've set it up, you can access your files or use Windows Remote Desktop for Mac to control it.

I assume by "remote" you mean when you're not home (assuming this is a home setup). At home, you don't need to remote in to access files on the same network.
