Using MyWi with VPN

Hey everyone!

So I did some research on AT&T cracking down on unauthorized tethering like MiWi and came across folks using a VPN to mask the packets exchanged from their iPhones to AT&T's 3G. I decided to give this a whirl and installed the Hotspot Shield VPN on my iPhone 4. Installation was seamless and the VPN connected quickly. I connected automatically to my iPad using MyWi On Demand via Bluetooth tethering and I'm pleased to say that it is working like a charm (I'm even connected to it right now on the iPad!)

I made this post to both supply this information and links just in case someone would like to do the same with their unlimited data plan iPhones as well as ask some questions to those of you who may be using this solution.

Have any of you used or are using MyWi with a VPN? Have you received any messages from AT&T since using it? Additionally, is it necessary to install the VPN on my iPad too, or is it just fine being on my iPhone? I know if I'd like to mask my connection when using free hotspots, a VPN is great, but I just wanted to know if extra precaution should be taken by using the VPN on the iPad too or if that's unnecessary.
