Using natural keyboard sound instead of gb default effects

I'm using a yamaha keyboard with a midi in/out to usb connection to my macbook. How can I use the keyboard's pre loaded effects instead of garageband's effects?

you can record them with the outputs going into your soundcard (if you have a decent one)

sorry, to clarify

the model is a PSR-520

it comes with all the standard sounds such as grand piano, drums, flutes, etc just like garageband's software instruments but i like the keyboard's better.

do i choose real instrument track instead of software instrument track?

Yamaha audio out (not MIDI) to Mac, then new real instrument track, set monitoring to on.
