I have been using NFC tags on android devices. I have recently switched over to iphone 7 which does support NFC tags read/write but in a different manner.

I have been using NFC tags in my car in a manner that when I touch my phone with it, then it will start showing navigation to my home. Touching another tag will automatically play music without my having to take my eyes off the road while driving. Kindly let me know as to how I can I have the same convenience of using the NFC tags on my IOS device.

Not sure you can use the tags but you can do similar things using the iOS shortcuts app and assign Siri shortcuts to them as well so you can ask Siri to run them if you are driving for example or just run them from the press of a button in the widget screen.

I've got a number set up mainly around navigation. I have two for directions to home or work which just fire up Apple Maps with directions to either from my current location, one that brings up a prompt for all my upcoming calendar appointments, i can choose one and it sets up directions in Apple Maps to the location and then a fourth that i use if i need to pick up my wife from work which sets up directions to her work, texts her my arrival time and then loads the route in Apple Maps. I have CarPlay so these are all handy for when i'm in the car.

I then have some others for things like playing a particular playlist, a speed dial list for phone calls where i can choose from a few different people to call, Add an event to my calendar, one for if i get short of battery that turns things off to make it last longer and then one which tidies up old screenshots from my photo gallery.
