Using Old Photos for Photo Booth Effects

First, I apologize if I posted in the wrong forum, since this is my first post on MacRumors.

I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to use already taken pictures in photo booth effects. Basically I have a photo that I took with an SLR (really high quality) that I want to loop through Photo Booth for the pop art effect. If this isn't possible, do you know of any good ways to get one high-res photo and get it as that pop art effect in high resolution?

I need the high resolution since I want to get it printed on canvas.

I don't think this is possible currently. But you can try this:

Add your photo into your photo booth library which is located in finder in "pictures". Right click, click on show package contents, then open. You could try either Original or Photos folders but i doubt it will work. Didn't work for me anyway.

Your better off just using something like photoshop. They may have some filter like that but you'll have to buy it because there is no filter standard like that in Photoshop's filter gallery.
