Using other .wav drum sounds in GarageBand

Hey-

I've been using an e-drum kit to play drums in GarageBand... going thru an Alesis D4 into a USB MIDISPORT 2x2 into my 'ol Dual G4/500; works great!
I'm trying to figure out how to use my own .wav files in place of the preset sounds. I have iDrum, but there seems to be major latency issues when I use it as a standalone.

What's the word?

Is there a setting for buffer size in iDrums prefs? If so try lowering the buffer size to 128 or even 64 if your machine can handle it.
