Hi all. First post here.

I set up a user for my son on my mac. I would like him to have access to CERTAIN chosen youtube.com videos. I went into parental controls and added the bookmarks. They work fine, but when the videos pop up, there is a search window he can use to watch anything.

How do I circumvent this? I want ONLY certain URLS within youtube, and not the rest.

By the way, I would like to do this WITHOUT signing into youtube/google. I'd prefer to just have this controlled by the mac and have no need for logging into google.

Thanks a million,
SJIWY

Hello! Welcome to MacRumors.

To restrict a person from entering certain URLs and not youtube videos, go to "System Preferences" and enter "Parental Controls". Under the tab "Web", press "Try to limit access to adult websites" and press "customize". Thereafter, you can add and remove urls from the list by pressing the (+) or (-).

I hope that this solved your issue, and if you were to have any further questions - do not hesitate to ask!

You can change the bookmark to Youtube Kids: www.youtubekids.com and set it the first time according to the age of your son and disable the option to show the search bar. Then click on the lock symbol and create a secret code so he can't change the settings.
