Hi guys,
I just replaced the graphics card in my 2006 Mac Pro.
Got a 6850 off Ebay. It has big ugly cooling fins that wrap around making it impossible to fit in PCIe "slot 1". So I stuck it in "slot 2", which seems to work fine. But I note that "slot 2" only provides 8 x lanes (whatever they are) and the card is meant to use 16.
Am i missing much? I'm not that knowledgeable on the GPU side of things…
