Hi all,

I'm going to make a video in imovie that is comprised mostly of still pictures set to music. Is there a way to set it up so the pictures change with the tempo of the song?

Also, what size picture works best for iMovie? All my pics will be cropped to fit the 4x3 format... But what measurement do I need to use? Thanks!

Yes. It's easy when you know how. Use Beat Markers.

Add an audio track to the background of new project. Click on the gear symbol on the audio track and click "audio trimmer". Add beat markers using the music symbol button or pressing B i think. Add clips to the project and they will automatically be fitted between the markers.

Good tutorial on Beat markers in iMovie at www.macprovideo.com

The picture can be cropped in iMovie if you want. Is the project in 4x3 or 16x9?

awesome! Thanks so much for that! I'll give that a shot.

Now I'm running into a problem where I can't put text wherever I want it on screen. I have to use titles? Bummer.
