Hey ho good people. Apologies for the ramble but at least you can;t complain I didn't give you much information!

I recently switched from iMovie to Premiere CS3 thanks to a Master Suite site license at work and have really enjoyed the freedom and power that comes with it. I'd like to be able to export my finished work as a DVD with chapters and having never before done this, tried shoving the exported MOV file into iDVD (08) which will allow me to set timed chapters (e.g. every 4 minutes) but not at specific marker points.

Oh well, I'll try this here 'Encore' thing instead then. I can set markers in Premiere, export my m2v/wav files, create a new Encore project, drag in a suitable menu and submenu, even set up the arrows in the flowchart. But as soon as I click on a submenu option (e.g. Scene A) I getting the spinning beachball of doom followed by a crash of Encore and another error report to send to Apple.

I've updated the OS (10.5.5), Encore (3.0.2), shut down every application, rebooted, deleted preferences files (and the whole library once, in a fit of pique). All to no avail.

Have done lots of Googling and everyone appears to simply say 'Use FCP' or 'Use DVDSP (with FCP)'. Marvellous, but I'm not about to spend another wodge of cash just to be able to add chapters!

So my question is - what should I do? Is Encore somehow salvageable? (Google suggests otherwise). Is there any way to export from Premiere and have chapter settings for iDVD? *sigh*

Oh, MBP 2.4 Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM, 160GB HDD, 6 months old.
