Using Preview to Print a Tabloid-sized PDF...

Hi guys,

I've been trying to print a Tabloid sized page (11x17) as a PDF, but am having no luck, and I can't see anything under preferences where I could change the settings...can anyone help?

What application are you using?
I tried to figure it out using MSWord

File > Page Setup > Paper Size: Custom Size... > + > Enter paper dimensions

I am using a music program called Finale. It is set to print out in 11 x 17 format, but every time I try, I get an error message saying that the size of the paper in the document does not match that of the printer (even though I am not sending it to the printer, I am printing as a danged PDF!)

Yes, but I have to take it to Kinko's to print, because I don't have an 11x17 printer. What I used to do on my PC was print it to an 11x17 file, then take it over there on a USB key.

I thought I had done this with my Mac as well, but now that I think about it, I've never tried to print to an 11x17 PDF on the Mac.

Hmm. I've never used finale, but i'm sure you can set up a page size 11x17?
after setting up the page, just save it as is?

I tested the theory on Guitar Pro 5 and it worked fine. I'm not sure what I can do for you :/
