Using public Wi-Fi at locations that require http authentication

Hi

The public Wi-Fi hotspots require a user to login via a splash page where a user must enter their Wi-Fi account details. On the iPhone this is a pain, and the auto fill option is greyed out, even though it is active in the safari settings.

Does autofill work with this type of hotspot?
