There are pics on the net, charging a Motorola with the Apple Watch charger, so this would be cool on the other side, charge your Apple Watch with any QI charger. Some claimed it works. Hmm, did a test this morning and used a brand new Samsung QI charger (hey, that would have been a cool slogan "Samsung powers the Apple Watch")- but only would have been...it simply doesn't work.

Not any sign of power transfer at all, seems like either the Apple Watch doesn't like Samsung or vice versa...

May be it need certain protocols, may be it works with some types of QI chargers, and there might be other requirements. Apple let it go to be able to use any charger...don`t believe it
