iPod Using Quicktimepro to convert movies

how long is this suppose to take to convert a 25minute anime episode to ipod format??

I ran it half an hour ago it went really quick at first getting to 8% but then it just stopped and went really slow, its only at 15% right now

Video encoding takes forever and ever. I'm not sure exactly how much video per ever per MHz you can expect though. I know we used to leave the encoding of 1 hour of DV to mpeg2 on a 1GHz G4 over the night.
