Using Rosetta in the Real World...Post Here

We need a thread where people can post experiences with using rosetta emulation and the applications that run under it. There are other posts about it, but they are scattered all over the forums in many different threads.

Post which application you are using, your Mac specs and how it performs under emulation.

Well looking at the long list of software that doesn't work with these new Intel Macs... think I might put off my switch.

Also post your specs please. Spec amount of RAM and CPU you are using. I think in short order its going to be found that Rosetta is HIGHLY dependant on RAM. I question the performance of Rosetta on systems with 512MB of RAM.

I'm OK with rosetta - it helps me out whilst the transition is being made.

No big deal, not that slow (not that fast either). Its laggy, but it always was going to be.

things i want to work with my intel imac.

flash (please). Browser wont load ANY flash stuff
plugins ffor quicktime so i can watch all avi's and wmvs

I will be getting my 20" Intel iMac tomorrow. I use mostly iLife apps (universal) and MS Office X (works well in Rosetta). What I am interested to play around with are my Blizzard games: Starcraft, Warcraft III, World of Warcraft, Diablo II. I will post my experiences with them after I have had a chance to play around with it.

How does rosseta perform with smaller apps... everyone seems to be judging performance on software like Photoshop which would probaly struggle with 512MB on ANY computer.
