using setup assistant with apps, including MANY vst plugins?

I'm getting the new imac soon (fingers crossed) .. :=) I'm wondering if anyone's had experience with setup assistant when transferring files from and old mac to new mac ... I want to make sure all my VST and Daw programs work with a minimum of hassle ??
