using siri with headphones

I just got an iPhone 5 and now use Siri via headphones while my phone is in my pocket. However, when I do this to make a call, my phone remains open and while bumping around in my pocket the mute button or speaker button get pressed. Is there any way to make a call with Siri and have the phone remain locked? I had an iPhone 4 before this and the Voice Control command kept the phone locked after dialing the number.
