Hello all,

I installed an OCZ Agillity 128gb SSD in my MacBook (first model, 2ghz Core Duo) a few weeks ago and it has been spectacular.

Butttt I just got a great deal on a 15.4" MBP (previous generation so the HD is very easily accessible).

What I am wondering is if I just swapped my SSD, which I did a clean install of SL on, into the MBP would it work? Or will I just need to do another clean install?

Nope, you'll need to reinstall the OS.

Especially if you have the dual gpu model. There's been lots of threads over at apple discussions related to problems with switching GPUs on MBPs that either had an old hard drive (and old OS) placed in the computer (like what you're looking to do) or restoring a cloned drive to the new MBP.

Basically enough of the components changed that you'll be having problems if you don't install fresh.

Thanks for the input. Was assuming this would be the case but figured I would check before being an idiot and trying it/screwing something up
