Using the Discord app (voice chat) with the GeForce Now app freezes my Mac Studio. It’s extremely strange. I can’t simultaneously be in a voice chat in Discord and play GeForce Now. I’m not sure what’s causing this issue. The same happens if I use Discord on a browser and start a voice chat.

my config: Mac Studio M2 Max with macOS Tahoe

Do you have the same problem?

Did you check the CPU/GPU utilization during while running these app? Do only these two apps freeze or the entire device?

After 26.1, I am able to now run GFN, on my M4 Max Mac Studio, which means I now have two ways to play Fortnite, this and BlueStacks Air.

What's your audio setup…any external devices?

I've noticed weirdness when I have GeForce Now running at the same time as another app that is trying to use audio.

My wild guess is that it's GeForce Now using weird sample rates and causing a conflict with one or more audio devices I have.

I am just using a pair of Bose PC powered speakers connected to the headphone jack on my Mac Studio.

If the operating system freezes, then it's an operating system bug and Apple needs to fix it. Report it in the Feedback Assistant app.
