Using the Edge on the Prepaid Iphone

Anyone in the US that is using this I have a quick questions?????

Is the speed of EDGE different when using the prepaid feature then using the non prepaid option. I had read that somewhere if anyone can help....
 
No edge is the same on prepaid GoPhone as it is on a monthly plan. Edge is simply too expensive to use on prepaid however, loading a google map will cost about $2.

I thought you could add edge for 20 dollars a month with the pay in advance or pick your plan what ever it is when you don't pass the credit check

I know that I can add a data package that incudes Edge for .01 cents a KB. I have two iPhones that were activated on a regular monthly plan and then I now use one of them as a GoPhone by placing my sim from my GoPhone into the iPhone. There are a few differant data plans you can add but again they are expensive and they don't include a huge amount of data transfer like the normal monthly rates.

If a plan costs $29.99 that includes 200 talk minutes and you decide to surf the net for an hour, that's going to deduct .01 cent per KB from the 29.99 which will take away your available minutes. I hope this is easy to understand and like I said, loading a google map will take about $2.00 off of that 29.99 so you see how fast those minutes can vanish.
