How do you go about getting map files?

This sounds soooooo useful.

if anybody could help it would be awesome ^.^

Where do you get offline maps for that app? I know that the developer listed some websites in the project page, but are there any other sources.

Also, are you certain that the program won't run on 2.01? I installed it (on a 2.01 phone), and it appears to work, except that I don't have any maps :p

did I claim any guarantee it wouldn't work on 2.0 at all? I was commenting on what most people say about the 1.1.4 apps since they are on a different framework

lol there's one on cydia (I don't recall what source)

It works if you just load it and then open the maps app when you're away from wifi. ^.^ Thanks anywayz guys.

ok didn't know they ported it....... just gave it a go and yeh it doesn't work, I open it nothing is there so click copy maps and it crashes...... yay!!

Don't even use the app, just hide it or something open up maps, and look at it, then turn wifi off and go back to it and it caches everything you look at. even stays after you turn the iPod off and everything.

hmmm...that didn't really work...would someone mind posting a series of numbered steps for using this application? Do I have to SSH in order to use it? Will the result be fully-usable offline maps (i.e. zoomable)?
