All iPads Using the same sim in iPad mini (nano-sim) and 4th gen iPad

Can I cut my iPad micro sim down to nano sim size and then use it in the iPad mini? With an adapter card I could then continue to use it in the 4th gen ipad/full size iPad. Does anyone disagree with this theory?

If that doesn't work, can I get a nano sim for ipad mini and then use an adapter to convert to micro sim size and use in full size ipad?

You could cut it down, but the nano sim is also a bit thinner than the micro sim. Some people have successfully used sandpaper to make the micro sim a little bit thinner so it would fit after it's cut down to nano size. The nano sim plus a micro sim adapter might be the easier way to go.
