iOS Using the SDK, is it possible to access the Contacts List & change the ringtone file?

Using the SDK, is it possible to access the Contacts List, see what groups a contact belongs to & change the ringtone file for the contact?

I'm not an iPhone programmer and will probably get one to do this for me. But first I'd like to know if it's even possible, and if so, if it's a major thing or a minor thing.

You can certainly read from the Address Book. Not sure if you can update the ringtone for a contact though...
