Yes. And I assume you mean accessing the files on the Time Capsule hard drive. Just enable file sharing in your AirPort Utility under Disks. Also, for Windows machines, if you set up a workgroup name, you can access the TC disk without having to install AirPort Utility on your machine. Just make sure all the Windows machines are on the same workgroup that you typed into your Time Capsule settings.

Edit: I also assumed you meant anywhere you have Wi-Fi within your house. If you want to access your TC from other networks, you'll need to enable sharing over WAN in your AirPort Utility.

I am interested in Time Capsule and want to be able to access it over the internet from a Mac and XP... ftp would be the ideal solution. What are the possibilities to access Time Capsule over the internet?

Thanks

I have been told by Apple that the Time Capsule has not been designed to be used as a FTP file server. In addition, this has been confirmed by Fetch, a third party provider of FTP client software.

However, I have also been told that it may be possible to figure out a way. I have been unsuccessful in my attempts to solve.

Anyone figure it out yet?

Responses very much appreciated.

Thank you.
