Using Time Machine drive on another Mac?

Well today I'm going to BestBuy and I am going to most likely get a new MacBook. I have a Time Machine drive(Toshiba 120GB) with the backup of my old MacBook. Is it possible to use that drive and transfer the over $200 of iTunes music purchased or am I screwed.
