I have a MacBook Pro and I have been keeping an external backup using Time Machine. I haven't experienced a failure yet but I just thought of a question I would like to know the answer to before I have a failure. I purchased a Quicktime Pro Serial off of apples website and upgraded to QTP forever ago. I didn't receive a disc or a hardcopy serial number or anything. If I do have to recover after a hard drive failure, will my QTP be lost? What about other applications like Microsoft Office and stuff, will I have to find the CDs to get the installer files or will Time Machine just copy all my serial numbers and installers and everything back requiring nothing extra of me as a reward for being a good little boy and backing up my data like I am supposed?
