Considering having my Vision Pro delivered to a UPS Access Point (UPS Store) instead of my home for fear of missing the delivery. Has anyone done this before for an Apple delivery? Any concerns with it being delivered after the current scheduled date of Feb 2nd? Thanks in advance!

There's always a risk it bleeds over into the next day as they might use the day it arrives to the terminal facility for processing your package to be set aside for pickup.
Yes, UPS Access points are not real UPS hubs where your package originates - I have re-routed a few packages and they ended up available the next day.

UPS Stores are independent franchisees and have limited hours compared to UPS corporate owned customer counters.

I want mine delivered to a customer counter because they allow pickups as late as 9pm.

In my experience, If you change your preference early enough to pick up at the access point, it won’t delay it. That’s just my experience though, I’m sure some others have had the opposite happen.

Correct, if you re-route your package BEFORE it gets on a UPS truck at the hub, they will put it on a different truck that normally delivers to the UPS Store and the delivery to the Access Point / UPS Store on the same day.

But if you miss that window, once the regular truck receives it, their shift may not end until after the UPS Store closes and that's what results in a next day pickup.

I know, I have a close family friend who works for UPS as a regional manager.

Thank you! Package is still in China obviously so still plenty of time. Oh what to do!

When I purchased my iPhone 15 Pro Max, UPS was denying the ability of having it delivered to my UPS hub. That is the first time I experienced that problem.

I wonder if it has something to do with the rampant theft of packages after the driver leaves it at your doorstep ?

Or maybe UPS got flooded with lots of calls ?

So far, my UPS delivery can only be changed to neighbor's address or delivery later on a different day.

No option for UPS store nor UPS customer counter.....:(

I think the original post meant Apple or UPS was denying the ability to pickup at a UPS Hub/Store which seems like it would cause even more theft since they're forcing you to have it delivered to home.

Unless it was to avoid UPS getting a huge pickup line at their Hub (which I've seen happen during previous iPhone launch day's at least in southern, CA)

Yes have seen the lines at customer counter in the past years.

I think being this package is an expensive item, it will probably require a signature.

At least to protect UPS and Apple ?

has anyone tried calling the UPS phone number(s)? I've previously had success with Apple day-1 orders by calling UPS and asking them to hold at a Customer Center.
