using Verizon iPhone 5 in China question

i'm heading over there today, relative already bought me a nano sim card there. so is it just a simple plug and play? power off phone, insert nano sim card, power up phone and it's ready to go. when i head back to the U.S. it's simply remove the sim card and the phone would detect Verizon signal once touched down in U.S.

did i miss anything?

Yes, you are correct. You may have to go through the activation screen though. Pretty simple process.
