Here it goes:

Currently using a Macbook Pro 15 C2D to connect to a PowerMac G5 Dual 2.7. Currently I am using a dynamic IP from dyndns.org. With that all I do is hit (apple + K) in the finder and (this the same as GO>CONNECT TO SERVER). The address is: vnc://*************.com. And woalla, it connects via VNC, no problems whatsoever.

My question to all of you:

Am I secure going from my macbookpro to the G5? Do I need to create a tunnel via SSH? If so could somebody please walk me through it.

Right now, everythings works great, but if I am not secure and everybody can see my stuff....well, then I would like to change that ASAP

Thanks!

The security of VNC is dependent on your configuration, your password and the local network and physical security of the computers in question. I would prescribe some reading on security for computers starting with apples security guidelines.

Cheers
