Hello there.
May I request some advice and experiences from G5 users who have a widescreen display.
I have a G5 Dual 1.8 that is fitted with the GeForce FX 5200 Ultra 64Mb video card (as factory fitted)?
I am investigasting purchasing an Eizo S2231W Display (native resolution 1680 x 1050) and want to know basically if the 5200 card will present me with a range of display options that wil alow me to use this display and offer a 'stretched' resolution, or is it restricted to being available on a higher spec. card such as a Radeon 9600 or similar?
Basically I want to avoid the distorted display as seen on many televison screens, however i do realise that this is not a top line card and it possibly will be working to it's limits.
Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere but trying to get an answer from so called 'tech support' staff is near impossible. Plus if it does not work successfully then I am stuck with a display that I can not use unless I shell out further for another graphics card.
Many thanks for any help or experience you can give.
