So does using wifi save much battery on the iphone 5? I have AT&T and LTE service is pretty good all the places that I use my phone. My big question is if I am using wifi, but don't turn off LTE am I really saving that much battery? Does LTE still search for a signal even when wifi is on?

Yeah it does still search for a signal. However, if you are using data throughout the time you are accessing WIFI, then yes, you are saving battery. However, if you have wifi turned on, while there is no wifi you can access, you are losing battery power. Since you're device is searching for a wifi connection when there is none.

:rolleyes:Only if Apple allowed us to turn wifi on and off more easily

Thanks I am getting some bad battery drain. I think some of it has to do with my phone being jailbroken.
