Depends upon your usage. I used my X caseless and it looked great but it all depends on how careful you are with your phone and if you got the silver model or not.

The silver model scratches very easily from regular usage. Before I got the gold XS Max I had the space grey iPhone X for a year and sometimes went without a case and I never noticed any serious scratches.

I hate screen protectors. I use cases that keep the screen off the surface if placed face down. In 6 years I’ve never had a scratch on the screen.

Yes, I hate screen protectors too. But do you always keep an eye on your fingers and chopping off grown nails always??
