I'm not sure where to post this..
The desktop is a Dell Dimension E310 running XP and my Macbook Pro has 10.7.5. I'm wondering if I can send files from my Macbook to the E310, preferably with an ethernet cable, like an external hard drive. I have been searching everywhere and trying everything. The closest I got was only being able to get internet to the XP and not send files. Any help would be appreciated.

You'd want to set up a home network on the Windows machine and have them both on the same connection. It'll appear under Shared in the Finder, and you'd login with your username and password.

There are some settings in System Preferences that you might need to enable too. I'm not sure of that part. But all my PCs show up on my MacBook Pro.
