Hello,

I've been asked to stream an event live in a couple of weeks time, searching around it's come apparent that ustream is the cheapest/best service for me on this occasion..

Can someone tell me how much data this would use up? Will be streaming from a dongle..

If we use the example i'm streaming for an hour...

Thanks!

Hi Jack,

This depends largely on the size and resolution of the feed you are sending. The best way to check this is to do a test run and extrapolate. You can use the UStream producer or software like Adobe's FMLE to set up the streams. I believe FMLE has a way to monitor this as well as granular controls for your feed.

To be honest I'm not sure that you're even going to be able to do this from a Dongle even without reaching your data cap. I'm guessing that you most certainly will hit the cap and that you should find another means to do this project. But, you won't know without trying!!
