utilities problem

Hi i have a problem with my utilities folder all of the icons are showing a picture of a paint brush and a pencil and ruler nothing will work either in the utilities folder any ideas how i can get it back to normal ?

Strange. Repairing permissions could actually make a difference in this specific situation. You'll need your OS install disc to do this, since Disk Utility and Terminal don't work. Otherwise, reinstall.
