I am surprised more people aren't speaking about this "case". I had this for the X and it worked well. I pretty much just needed something for drop protection, and the bumpers (i.e. Rhinoshield) were too bulky. This still allows you to have the grip and feel of a naked phone with drop protection. Only downside is that it does cover the corners tips so you *might* feel it depending on how you hold your phone.

Thought I'd suggest it, especially since many of us are getting the gold.

I got one for my 7+ (I think it was). Was not worth the price, to me.

What makes you say so? Would you get this if the price was less?

I am going back to the Apple Leather because I need better grip-ability but I didn't have a problem with it on my X. As a guy who doesn't have big hands though, I am not sure this would work for me but it might work for others.

They don't stay particularly well, but you don't want them permanent. They get knocked off fairly easily. They don't offer any gripability.

I use a similar version of "case", that improves on the Utomic in that the corners are stuck to a wafer thin TPU backing which retains the near-naked feel of the phone as the sides are uncovered, the top/bottom edges are covered & is much cheaper.

Wow! Well, luckily mine haven't knocked off since I installed them. I did take my time when installing it though, not sure if that helped. I wish Apple made a bumper like with the 4.

I like it, but I prefer one without a back plate.

Do not buy. Corners easily come off and company disclaims any warranty for resulting damage. Buyer BEWARE!

Terrible customer care I tried their product twice. Giving The product the benefit of the doubt I replaced the Utomic corners twice hoping that it was just an error in application as to why they pop off, and both times I’ve had issues with the phone. On this second attempt to use them, the back of the iPhone cracked but they were not interested.. they did not assist me.. they said it was not covered .. so buyer beware the company does not care. They do not stand behind their products. Your phone will crack and scratch I assure you of that.

That's odd. How did the phone crack ... did you drop it? When I had this on my X, it never cracked nor did my sides pop off. That being said, I went with a standard Apple leather case since the Utomic didn't offer much grip ability.

It fell off a two foot ledge in the bathroom it hit the floor with all 4 corners intact and i have no idea how the impact broke the back glass, but it cost me $100 with apple care, and it’s the second application of the corners and the second expense with this company that does not stand behind this product. I am totally disappointed. A waste of $60 fir corners plus $100 with apple care. If Utomic thinks it has a product that will prevent injury to expensive equipment and the product fails, then stand behind your product and quit selling crap into the market that costs people money and pain. If you see that it fails then how do you have the nerve to continue selling this crap if you don’t cover the fails? It’s not a stand up company. Losers.

I can see these easily breaking the glass as there is no brace support between the points of impact. Imagine this falling on the floor, the corner takes the full impact, forcing that part of the glass to flex up and break. If there was a brace between the corners the force would as least be distributed elsewhere.

Yes, agree. A gimmicky product catering to cosmetic appeal for those of us that love the sleek look of the phone but they are selling a product that breaks phones and they do not stand behind their technology. So buyer beware!! I learned my lesson.
