To make a long story short:
I have a ibook G4, my father has a Macbook, and my brother-in-law has a Macbook Pro that he just bought.
I could video conference with both my father and brother-in-law and both sides could initiate these video chats.
But if my brother-in-law requested a video chat with my father and my father would not see the invite. My brother-in-law could request a video chat with my father but once he accepted the connection there would be a "connection error."
This problem persisted through restarts and hooking both computers directly up to the internet (so no NAT or firewalls) but once my brother-in-law and father both logged onto AIM through .mac accts they could videochat without a problem.
I am baffled. Are the .mac AIM accounts different?
