Ok guys, I always see people do reviews on this case once they get it, but nobody does a review after they have had it for a few months. Because of this, I decided to do a review on it. I have had the case for maybe 2 months and here is what I think (the more serious cons begin at the third one)

Pros:
- Very stylish
- Can customize it and use whatever color you like
- Can put your name on the back
- Covers the screen (this is a pro for me but may be a con for someone else)

Cons:
- Most obvious, the cost
- It comes from Argentina so it takes some time for them to make it and get it to you
- After just a few weeks the little hook that keeps the case closed starts to wear off and looks really bad if you chose a light color for the stripe
- The part where the flap comes against the speaker and dock begins to break after a few weeks
- After a few months the flap gets loose and does not stay on tight like it did when it first came out of the box. It starts moving around and gets really annoying
- You always have to open the case in order to plug your phone it
- When the phone is on silent it can be a little annoying to flip the silent switch
- After time the slot where the SIM card goes gets really dirty from all the leather wearing off on the hook
- It provides hardly any protection, even if you drop it when its closed and it hits one of the top corners it will scratch or damage the phone
- The worst thing about this case: When opened the top part of the phone is completely naked and if you drop your phone, it will get scratched or even cracked. You will probably not drop your phone when you are not using it because it will probably be in your pocket. You are more likely to drop your phone when you are using it which means it has a good chance of hurting the phone.

Here are some pictures i took of the phone in the case (click them to see them in higher res)

This is the crack, its small but its still there thanks to this case...

Kinda hard to see but the SIM slot is a little dirty, i just cleaned it:

Here the flap is starting to rip:

Once again:

Here is the hook:

My final thoughts:
This case is very stylish and very expensive. Because it provides next to no protection, I would not suggest this case to anyone. Also, the leather scratches easily and you definitely do not want that if you bought the case for style.

One thing I forgot to mention is that if you get a light color for the leather, it will get dirty and will look bad.

Thanks for the review

nice job these cases used to at least be awesome not sure what happened I had one Vaja a few years back. I guess the cows were better back then. ;)

haha ya. but the thing is most people just do initial reviews on this, not what happens after using it for some time.

I have the Vaja Black and Red LE, and have been completely satisfied with the case. Been using it for almost a year, and it still looks as good as the day I got it.

The bottom flap by the speaker is showing no sign of wear, nor is the hook.

I have also dropped the phone at least 4 times and have caused no damage to phone or case.

Yes, the cost is high, but it is the only case I own, so I did not waste tons of money trying out every case to find one I like.

P.S. - I got mine off eBay for $60 brand new in box

Thanks for the update. I'm still interested in this case, because I don't drop my phone when I'm using it. I drop it when I'm taking it out of my purse or pocket. In that case, it would still be closed and the flap would protect the screen. I also use a clear screen protector, which should prevent scratches.

Lousy product

I had 4 Vaja cases.
All 4 scratched the metal rim of the iPhone.
Vaja never acknowledged the fact.
The last one : the leather around the clip got split
and plastic is now apparent.
I'm a VERY careful person and still have cigar cases
that travelled the world without a scratch.
Buyer beware.
