Value of 2012 27" iMac core i7 3.4Ghz

There is a streaming video company in my town selling a 2012 27" iMac core i7 3.4Ghz, with 16gb of RAM and a 1TB hard drive and I'm wondering--provided it runs well--how much I should be willing to buy it for?

I found one on eBay for 1600 and on Google shopping I see prices range from 800 to 1800.

What do you all think it is worth?

Depends. If it's only a mechanical hard drive I wouldn't buy it. If it's a fusion drive or ssd i'd buy it. The fusion drive is part mechanical and has a 128gb ssd and it switches between the two. I'll never buy another computer with a regular 7200rpm drive. Flash storage is just unbelievable and makes all the difference. Used i'd say it's worth 1600 but i'd obviously start with a lower offer of 1350-1400 and move my way up from there.

I'm running a 2010 MBP with a Evo 840 in the optical bay. ifixit.com's article on replacing the hdd (and re-adding adhesive) looks tricky. . .

Is this the model everyone was having display color issues with?

I hear the fusion drives cause problems with music apps like Pro tools. I have a late 2011 with a 1TB mechanical drive and it works great. I wouldn't worry.
