I am looking to sell my Late 2012 27" iMac to go towards the purchase of a 5K iMac. Any suggestions on how much I should ask for it?

Specs:
Display: 27"
Processor: 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7 (quad core) [Turbo boost up to 3.8 GHz]
RAM: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Storage: 1TB Fusion Drive
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2048 MB

I'm thinking around $1,400 (USD). Am I too high? Too low?

As a starting point, you can check Mac2Sell, eBay (including completed sales), and Amazon for prices of similar models, to get an idea of what a reasonable price may be. Then adjust the price to account for condition, configuration, remaining AppleCare coverage (if any), etc. You can also check the Apple refurbished store to see what similar models are selling for.

That model is available on the refurb store for about $1,900 so your price seems reasonable. Might get a little more if you have AppleCare on it so it has another year of warranty coverage.
