I have a MBP from 2010. It is a 2.4 gHz computer with 250 GB of space. I have the opportunity to get a $250 gift card from Best Buy for it as it is in solid working condition with a good battery within it. Does this seem like a good deal?

I wondered what your thoughts were about it pertaining to the value of the device. Could I get more from a private sale or somewhere else? Admittedly it's been lying around since i primarily use a new 2015 MacBook and my iPad Pro 9.7. What are your thoughts as I consider unloading this.

Thanks in advance.

Hey all... I have only heard back from one of you. I'm just wondering if there might be any other perspectives on this issue. Again, thanks in advance.

13" mid 2010 base model? I sold mine for $500 in September 2015. I think you could maybe fetch $400 in a private sale, assuming it's great condition. $300 for no effort seems like a pretty solid deal as long as the best buy currency is as good as cash to you.
