Vanishing Predictive Text

I am running iOS 8.0.2 on an iPhone 5. Randomly, my predictive text suddenly vanishes even though it is enabled. I have to toggle the switch and it reappears. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Yes. Experience it all the time on my iPhone 5. Tres annoying!

Swipe up on the little white bar above the middle of the keyboard.

I will try doing that next time it vanishes.
