Well I inadvertently added a space and wiped out everything in postfix.
I meant to enter rm -rf postfix/active/* but instead entered rm -rf postfix/active/ * and now everything in my postfix directory is gonzo. I tried restoring a backup from an hour ago but that doesn't seem to be part of the backup. Does anyone know how I can recreate my postfix directory? Doh!

can't you manually copy the folders from /var/spool/postfix from your backup to your Mac? You'll need to fix the permissions in all likelihood as well.

I just reinstalled the OS. That fixed it but I'm sure there is a faster and easier way to rebuild it. Just not sure what that is...
