Vbulletin Post Preview

On some other vbulletin-based forums that I'm on, when you hover over the box that contains the thread title, it gives a small popup box that shows the first few lines of test of the first post of the thread.

It's a pretty cool feature, just wondering if that feature would be possible here or if it's unliked or something.

I couldn't get a screenshot to work(when I pressed command and shift, the preview went away), but www.greatlakes4x4.com has it.

This has been suggested many times. Search this forum and you'll find previous threads about the same thing.

It's easy to do technically, and some people tell us they like the feature, but just as many find it annoying to have pop-up text or to have the forum display covered up. Some members have expressed concern that it would put an additional burden on the forum server too.

This idea routinely loses the popularity contest so we have no plans to add it.

i've never seen it in use here. and i'm thankful for that.
it makes it harder to navigate the forums imo.
