Hi all,

I have a movie files (various format) which I intend to watch on TV via DVD/VCD player. I roughly have got the idea of converting the file using several available applications. Normally the file is big to fit into one piece of CD. And I have no intention of burning it into a DVD.

My question is, is there any application that would automatically split the movie to be burned into two piece CDs or do I have to manually split it first?

By any chance do you have an XBOX 360?

I only ask because I used to do that (burn to DVD, CD or split) and then the XB360 came out with native DIVX/XVID support so now I just stream it from my PC or MBP to my TV (PC does it native with Sharing enabled in Windows Media Player, and MBP needs to use a 3rd party app called Connect360 but it works flawless).

No more physical media needed.

One that is not actually close but does help in reducing the work is ffmpegx. It converts and then splits the movie. But it tends to fail rather often. It keeps crashing on me. Any similar application like this?
