Folks, I just bought a used 2018 MBP with Vega 20 on eBay and it's NOT detecting my external monitors.
I tried different cables, tried with CalDigit docking station and without it and it's still not working!
I have had multiple other 2016-2020 MBPs and they all work fine with the cables I have.
So logic tells me that the Vega MBP I bought is broken, BUT 2 months ago I bought another VEGA 2018 MBP and it did not work either. So apparently only VEGA MBPs are not detecting my monitors, while all other MBPs, including a 16", do detect my monitors.
What do you think? Did I buy two faulty VEGA MacBooks or there is a trick that I need to do to activate the VEGA videocard? Is this a known VEGA problem? Google is silent on it
