iPhone 12 Vendor agnostic now?

Are iPhones vendor agnostic now? Meaning if I purchase one to use with ATT then later decide to switch to Verizon would that same phone work? Thanks

Mostly, but it's situational. On the purchase page, Apple specifically states "All iPhone models are unlocked except those purchased with AT&T Installment Plans."

Ok thank you. I didn’t purchase with an ATT installment plan. I used my Apple Card 24 months plan. I guess that’s ok

So feel free to fact check me. I thought AT&T and T-Mobile used GSM while Verizon uses CDMA. What I remember reading was that AT&T and T-Mobile phones will work with Verizon but not the other way around.

The phone radios/modems support both GSM and CDMA.
