Basically before Safari 4 Ventrilo worked fine, since Safari 4 it will no longer connect. It is not a server issue, I can use Ventrilo on my MacBook (which never had Safari 4) just fine.

I also uninstalled Safari 4 and went back to 3 without any improvement to the Ventrilo issue. (Safari 4 is currently not installed, though I really did like it).

There are no errors in my console log. I'm at a loss as to how to fix the program. Ventrilo itself is one of those programs that gets very little love from programmers for the Mac version. I'm concerned that I'll have to format the hard drive to get it back to a usable state (yes, Ventrilo is almost that important to me).

Anyone else had this problem?

If I format my hard drive but keep my preference files and applications.. will I still have these problems? What is causing it... if webkit was put back to the old version, if that is even the problem, shouldn't Ventrilo work now (I've removed and reinstalled it completely twice since I went back to Safari 3).
