Anyone know if the problem of bitrate on playback from Apple Music has been solved in Ventura?
Basically in OSX Music when a track plays back at a certain bitrate it is then upsampled or downsampled to the output bit rate set in the MIDI preferences panel. That is not Hifi - that is a compromise. On any serious hifi playback system the music is output at the bitrate of the recording - then it is the DAC of the hifi system that deals with it. This drawback stops lots of people from using Music. I don't care about Music but am concerned about the upcoming Classical app..
