I am having a lot of issues using an external display on my M1 Max MBP 14" under the official Ventura release. I have a Dell hub connected to my MBP that has a HDMI to my monitor. Charging currently through MagSafe.

I am getting random wake ups from my external display every couple of minutes. Once I unlock the machine however, my Magic Mouse buttons become completely inoperable - I can right click but not left click which is super weird, and also affects my trackpad as well! I have to force restart the computer to gain access to the machine.

Anyone have this issue? I posted this in the bug thread but want to see if this is a widespead issue. I am going to leave my MacBook Pro unplugged for a bit and see if it's the hub causing issues?

Hi,
I wanted to create the new thread regarding this problem, but noticed your post. I also have this problem. And I also use external monitor and I also encounter that when my mac wakes up - left clicks are not working at all nowhere (integrated touch pad, external touchpad, external logitech mouse). Only one solution - mac restart:/ I encounter this problem maybe each week, so its not so frequent. Were you able to find solution for this problem? As in my case, I'm on 13.2 version now and still have this problem.
